Harry Hayward

Harry moved to the Red Sea in the early 90's and has been actively involved in the dive industry since then. Starting with a position on a Red Sea liveaboard in 1992 he went on to manage several 30 meter Red Sea Yachts working as a first mate, skipper and dive guide.

Starting to teach diving in 1996, with the PADI Instructor qualification, he rapidly progressed into the world of technical diving and became a TDI Instructor in 2000, training at 40 Fathom Grotto in Florida. In 2004 he completed his TDI Instructor Trainer courses and has been running Red Sea Technical ever since.

Testimonials

Over the last ten years I have had the pleasure of assisting Harry in many different capacities. His knowledge and experience of scuba diving, sub-aquatic environments and safety awareness make him a key asset on every operation. His expertise is only equaled by his personality.

I completed my Advanced Trimix course with Harry Hayward last year in Dahab and would deffinately recomend both TDI and Harry to progress as a technical diver. He not only is an expert in his field, he is a great teacher and explained the trickier aspects of adv trimix to me easily. It was a challenging and tough course however Harry kept it fun and i look forward to becoming a technical instructor with him soon.

Harry Hayward took me through PADI Open Water to DiveMaster over a few months in Dahab, Egypt, in 1999. I consider Harry to be all round great. I was taught well and felt in safe hands the whole time I was there. Harry has a lot of experience and a real love of diving, but also it was a really enjoyable time, which was important for me. On about my 30th dive everything came together for me, my buoyancy, my finning, my breathing etc. From that dive onwards, to this day, I have shared Harry's love of diving and am very grateful for that. :)

As an open water instructor who's learned from the best, I consider myself lucky to have been taught by Harry Hayward from Red Sea Technical. I did Adv. Nitrox all the way through ER and Trimix in Dahab with Harry and he is seriously the single best instructor I've ever had. His lasting passion combined with his extensive experience in technical diving is what makes his instruction so great. Whether it was theory, equipment configuration, or the dives, Harry was extremely thorough and his attention to detail was incredible. When I have the opportunity to become a technical instructor myself, I plan to seek Harry again for instructor training! Thanks again. Elliott Jessup

I have done a few TDI courses over the last couple of years. From Deco Procedures to Adv Trimix my instructor has been Harry Hayward in Dahab, South Sinai, Egypt. He made me feel relaxed both in and out of the water whilst also being one of the toughest instructors I have met. The standard of diving and theoretical knowledge he insists you attain are what keep you safe when diving and give you such a great sense of achievement when you complete the course. I have no hesitation in recommending Harry and TDI to anyone wanting to do a diving course, either recreational or technical.

In 2002 whilst living and working in dahab I did my TDI training through to Ext. Range Diver with Harry. My courses were conducted to the highest possible standards and I would recommend Harry to anyone looking for solid tech diver training.

After getting some diabolical tech training I went to see Harry at Red Sea Technical. I completed my Deco. Proc. , Ext. Range & Adv. Trimix Diver and had a great time as well as learning more than I thought possible. I am already an experienced PADI Instructor and have now gone on to complete my Adv. Nitrox & Deco. Instructor with Harry which has brought my recreational teaching to another level. Thank you Harry.
